I have a personal connection to ropa vieja because it was something my family made when I was growing up. It typically takes all day to make because you’re slowly cooking it in its juices and the longer it cooks the more tender the chuck roast becomes. So I’m very excited to find this recipe because you can make it so much faster in the instant pot and still keep it keto! My favorite part is finding the briny green olives mixed throughout the tender spiced meat!

The recipes in this book sound great and I even made a couple that tasted good but what I'm not sure on is how accurate the nutrition facts are and serving sizes. For example the Meatloaf only has 184 calories, fat 10.5 g, protein 8.3 g, carbs 7.3 g and fiber 15.7 g (have no idea where all that fiber is coming from) I even hopped on some websites to enter in the Ingredients and it was nowhere near what the book claims especially for calories. I was doing really good at losing weight, I feel I gained more after making and eating the foods out of this recipe book. I agree with another reviewer the meals are on the higher side of the carb factor. On to another keto cookbook for me.

Can coffee trigger IBS


I had the same problem. Everything blended beautifully, rose in oven, then fell. Toothpick came out clean after 45 min of baking. I let it cool and then cut into it this morning and it has raw spots throughout the loaf. I am so disappointed because I killed a dozen eggs to make it and really don’t want to do it again. I wonder if the oven needs to be warmer and the cooking time needs to be increased?

What can I eat on a keto lunch


Made this bread yesterday. I was very sceptical whether it would seem like bread. I do not have a food processor. So I mixed the dry ingredients by hand. And folded the first half into them. Then I folded the ingredients as per the recipe and I was very pleasantly surprised. It turned out great and I will make it again. As for the egg yolks I made scrambled eggs and had them with my new bread for breakfast.

Is Intermittent Fasting bad for your heart


I want to say thank you. I don’t always have time to bake, and this is a life saver, of sorts. My brother is diabetic, and his doctor recommended a low-carb diet; I’m diabetic also, and gluten intolerant. This bread has the most wonderful taste and texture, and is so quick and easy, I’ve already committed the recipe to memory. Even my SO, who is neither gluten free nor diabetic, likes the taste and texture. I did cut down the salt, because like some others, I found the 1/4 teaspoon to be too salty. Other than that, raves and kudos!! We are thrilled, and planning all the different ways we’re going to use this bread. Many thanks!!

Pre-cut Salad – You can get this everywhere.  You pour it in a bowl, cut up a tomato and well on your way to a nutritious salad.  The thing that is so nice about Keto is all the stuff that you should put on your salad like cheese, bacon and copious amounts of dressing are all okay. With Keto you really can make salad a meal. ( Brenna rolls her eyes again…)

Can I have soy sauce on keto


The one thing that disappoints me a little is how high the net carbs are on a lot of the recipes. For a keto person who tries to eat 20 or fewer carbs, I can only make one of these recipes every couple days due to carb counts often being around 10. (Maybe its a sign i should switch to OMAD) This isn't applicable to all recipes but several that I've seen. But still a great keto and low carb resource for sure!

This was so yummy! Great for sandwiches. I’m a total amateur when it comes to baking and I was so sure I’d messed this up. How can I lose weight fast with hypothyroidism


How am I JUST coming across this recipe after almost two years of being keto? This is THE ONE!! After I made the first loaf, I knew this was going to be used for my Thanksgiving stuffing. I did a test run, and, no lie, you cannot tell that this is a keto stuffing! I’m downright giddy! So I made six loaves of this amazing bread today and put them in the freezer for Thanksgiving. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this recipe. I’m making two more loaves tomorrow for sandwiches and toast. Oh, and I used all the ingredients, including the optional ones, and the results were perfect. Hands down the best keto sandwich bread out there (and I’ve literally tried dozens).
